We have officially learned that the Yangwang U9 Xtreme will make its public debut at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, opening on November 21. Based on the Yangwang U9, the new model features a more efficient aerodynamic package and an upgraded quad-motor system with a combined output of 2,220 kW (3,019 hp). It has set a new top speed record of 496.22 km/h at Germany’s ATP testing track and a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 6:59.157. The model will be limited to 30 units globally.

Exterior Design

The U9 Xtreme features a dual-vented front hood and a larger front splitter with vertically curved endplates to increase downforce. Dimensions measure 4,991 mm in length, 2,029 mm in width, and 1,351 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.

The side profile retains the classic coupe silhouette, with pronounced front fenders and a character line extending to the rear wheel arches. It comes standard with 20-inch twin five-spoke wheels and custom-developed GitiSport e·GTR2 PRO high-performance semi-slick tires (spec: 325/35 ZR20 112Y), rated for speeds up to 500 km/h. The braking system uses titanium calipers and an optimized carbon-ceramic setup for improved cooling.

At the rear, the car features a multi-layer scaled rear window structure, a large carbon fiber swan-neck spoiler, a dual-section taillight design, and a large dual-level diffuser.

Chassis & Dynamics

The U9 Xtreme is equipped with the "Yi Si Fang" (four-motor torque vectoring) and "Yun Nian-X" fully active suspension system. The latter uses an external dual-valve structure for independent control of compression and rebound, allowing rapid individual adjustment of each wheel in the vertical dimension.

Powertrain & Battery

The model adopts an all-domain 1,200V ultra-high-voltage platform and a quad-motor system delivering 2,220 kW, resulting in a power-to-weight ratio of 1,217 hp per ton. It also uses a new track-oriented Blade Battery with optimized cells, reduced internal resistance, and a dual-layer cooling structure, enabling an ultra-high discharge rate of 30C.
