Compare Chinese pickups in 2026 by lining up dated spec sheets against a written job, not by ranking badges. A useful file starts with payload, braked towing if you actually tow, tray internal length, driveline, fuel or charge path, and the aftersales sentence that will follow the VIN. This article uses three first-party sheets as teaching examples: an Australian GWM Cannon brochure for the 2.4-litre turbo-diesel dual-cab family, a BYD Shark 6 specification PDF published for Kenya, and JAC’s T9 global launch specification page. Diesel work, PHEV lifestyle, and the lie of a single winner
A diesel dual-cab with a published towing line is a work answer when the route has diesel, the workshop knows a particulate filter, and the brief is mass on a hitch. The Cannon AU 2.4TD row can be that answer for an Australian retail buyer whose licence and hitch match the 3,500 kg line. It is the wrong answer for a buyer who only has a reliable AC post and no diesel bowser on the site.
